Finding My Quite

The sun in my eyes, Far from all lies, Songs lined in love, Blessing from above. As the wheels roll on, Music soothes my soul, The bluish white sky, Offer wings to fly. The rhythm just rhymes, With my life so sublime, Like prayers and hymns, Drown fancies and whims. As the engine roars, Escaping all bores, Leave behind spite, Enters me into the quiet! (I'm in love with my carrrr... )

This Boy!

Image
A shoe here, A slipper there, Chucked without a care, Little feet so bare. Clothes all so torn, Back, Front, all gone, Pain is not a feel, Little knees of steel. Tears on homework, Finds joy in the park, Wishing his hide and seek, Would last him all week. Sun in his eyes, Learning to be wise, Tired he lies to sleep, Happiness found in heap! 27 th March, 2019

Silhouette of me...

A friend took a picture, A silhouette of a person, His face hid in darkness, A smile, a frown or a grin? I know not of his state, But I do know of mine, There isn't a smile or laugh, Nor even a silly willy grin. It'll be with sorrow filled, A sulk or a sullen screen, Glumness filling in total, Every facial cell in pain... Yet I will dare to look up, And try to ease the crease, I've stopped asking "why", I'm willing to step in the lime.

A funny sight in Mid-Life

Image
Isn’t it a funny sight? To see women diet, Never a care when eating to their fill, Though it was always against their will! And when she discovers that extra pound, Pronto is her family starving found? All attempts to rid of the love handles, To the extent of lighting scented candles! Isn’t it a funny sight? To see men with all their fortitude fight, To prove their manhood in all field, For it’s not in them to yield! So they pant and huff and puff, Even they don’t know their own bluff, On a mountain bike or a soccer ground, Trying to keep them from becoming round! Isn’t it a funny sight? To see ourselves in situations tight, Wobbling and struggling to top the race, Knowing not we are just units in space!

My Philosopher King

Image
A few years ago my King said something that led me to become a better person in all forms possible. He said “ You cannot give what you don’t have ”. Yesterday was another such day that wanted me to be the best at what I do as he thanked the teachers and encouraged us saying, “We must be doing something right”. The depth of the insight that he possess for the education of his citizens is immense. All we have to do is follow into his philosophy and be guided with his dreams for this little Great Nation. Just a little effort to understand the profound thoughts that even a little dose of the “ SMART ” ( Sincere Mindful Astute Resilient Timeless ) theory will do us a lot of good. And I have only my King to thank for such wisdom. His concern for our youth and their engagement, their learning, their abilities knows no bounds. While our children need to be empowered with modern technologies, they must not lose the touch of the ancient goodness and values that has carried us throu...

The Puddle

Image
A sparkle catches my eyes I stare hard at the glow Just to find nothingness For it’s just a mere reflection On some remote street light In a puddle so dirty Stagnated oh! Just so fine After a warm afternoon rain But why does a nothing Catch my attention Me who is all so busy Not interested in much Why am I so keen to stare? Why am I so captivated? Why do I feel warmth? Light glittering in the puddle Is it because of the glow? Is it because I see a flow? A flow to take me places Places I’ve never been before Or is it just an illusion? That I’ve longed for so much Or is it just my weakness? My dream for a better brightness Or better still I think It must be the warm rain That came down to wash All fears and tears away The rain that cleared all Obscured Beauty revealed A puddle that is left behind The only thing that I now feel Whatever that all was Without or with a meaning A look at it just fulfilled ...
